By accessing or using The Venting Spot platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Platform.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Venting Spot. We may modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Platform after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
The Venting Spot provides an online platform connecting users ("Users") with trained peer listeners and licensed mental health professionals ("Listeners") for emotional support and mental wellness services.
Services Include: • Text, audio, and video chat sessions with Listeners • Booking and scheduling system • Payment processing • User profile management • Chat history and session records
Important Disclaimers: • Peer listening is NOT therapy and should not be considered a substitute for professional mental health treatment • Our Platform does not provide crisis intervention services • If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately
To use certain features of our Platform, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
• Provide accurate and complete information • Maintain the security of your account credentials • Promptly update any changes to your information • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that: • Violate these Terms • Contain false or misleading information • Are used for fraudulent or illegal purposes • Engage in abusive behavior toward Listeners or other Users
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
Prohibited Conduct: • Harass, abuse, or harm Listeners or other Users • Share explicit, offensive, or inappropriate content • Impersonate any person or entity • Collect personal information about other Users • Use the Platform for commercial purposes without authorization • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Session Conduct: • Treat Listeners with respect and dignity • Arrive on time for scheduled sessions • Provide honest feedback after sessions • Report any concerning behavior to our support team
Listeners on our Platform are subject to additional terms and conditions as outlined in the Listener Agreement.
Listener Status: • Peer Listeners are trained volunteers, not licensed mental health professionals • Licensed Therapists must maintain valid professional licenses • All Listeners undergo background verification and training
Listener Conduct: • Listeners must maintain confidentiality • Listeners may not engage in romantic or personal relationships with Users • Listeners must refer Users to appropriate resources when necessary • Listeners must report any safety concerns to our team
We are not responsible for the actions or advice of individual Listeners. Users acknowledge that sessions are with independent Listeners and not employees of The Venting Spot.
Payment Terms: • All payments are processed through Razorpay • Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) • Payment is required at the time of booking • We do not store your complete payment card information
Refund Policy: • Cancellations made at least 2 hours before the session: Full refund • Cancellations made within 2 hours of the session: 50% refund • No-shows by Users: No refund • No-shows by Listeners: Full refund • Technical issues preventing session: Full refund or rescheduling
Disputes: If you are unsatisfied with a session, contact our support team within 24 hours. We will review each case individually and may offer a partial or full refund at our discretion.
Our Content: The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by The Venting Spot and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Your Content: You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Platform. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content for the purpose of operating the Platform.
Restrictions: You may not: • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission • Use our trademarks or branding without authorization • Reverse engineer any aspect of the Platform • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By using the Platform, you consent to: • The collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy • The recording of sessions for quality assurance purposes (with notification) • The use of anonymized data for research and improvement of services

No Medical Advice: The Platform does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Peer listening is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of qualified health providers with any questions regarding a medical condition.
No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that: • The Platform will meet your specific requirements • The Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free • Any errors will be corrected • Sessions will achieve any particular outcome
As-Is Basis: THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE VENTING SPOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages • Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Platform • Any damages arising from the conduct of Listeners or other Users
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Venting Spot, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:
• Your use of the Platform • Your violation of these Terms • Your violation of any third-party rights • Your content submitted to the Platform • Any dispute between you and a Listener
By You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature. Termination will not affect any bookings already completed or payments already made.
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include: • Violation of these Terms • Fraudulent or illegal activity • Abusive behavior • Extended period of inactivity • Request by law enforcement
Effect of Termination: Upon termination: • Your right to use the Platform ceases immediately • We may delete your account data (subject to legal retention requirements) • These Terms will survive termination where applicable
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [City], India.
You agree to waive any right to a jury trial and agree that any dispute resolution will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action.
